Gossensass has caught carnival fever again! For 50 years now, we have been looking forward to the big Gossensass Carnival every 5 years. The idyllic village is transformed into a colourful party mile at carnival time. The highlight is the big parade on Carnival Sunday at 1.33 pm. We look forward to the next carnival season in 2025!


Programme & highlights ‘Gossywood Verkehr(t)’
This year's motto ‘Gossywood Verkehr(t)’ (Gossywood traffic) addresses the current topic of the precarious traffic situation at the Brenner Pass and issues relating to gender and transsexuality. In addition to the big parade, the highlights of this year's programme include the election of ‘Miss Gossywood’, a big raffle and the reopening of old village discos.

Carnival Thursday, 27 February 2025
> 6 pm - Opening
> 7 pm - Miss Gossywood Verkehr(t) - competition
> 9 pm - Party Verkehr(t) in various party floats and party locations

Friday, 28 February & Carnival Saturday, 01 March
> from 8 pm - Party Verkehr(t)

Carnival Sunday, 02 March
> 1.33 pm - ‘Gossywood Verkehr(t)’ carnival parade
> Participation of around 50 different groups
> 3 p.m. - Carnival party Traffic(t)

Rose Monday, 03 March
> 7 p.m. - Legendary upside-down women's carnival
